Woman reported in critical condition after struck by driver at Boylston and Pine UPDATE Fatality

A 49-year-old woman died after being struck by a driver while she lay sleeping in the roadway on Boylston Avenue, Seattle. The incident occurred Tuesday morning, prompting a response from Seattle Police and Fire shortly after 6:30 AM. Initially reported as a hit-and-run, it was later confirmed that the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities. A Drug Recognition Expert evaluated the driver, finding no signs of impairment. Police are urging anyone with information to reach out to investigators.

This incident represents the third pedestrian fatality in the area this month, highlighting ongoing safety concerns. Earlier, two residents were killed in a similar situation behind a senior community in First Hill. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
