A smaller closure on Broadway, Revival closing shop after decade on Capitol Hill
Revival, a vintage and fashion boutique on Broadway, will close its doors on July 1, marking the end of an 11-year run in Capitol Hill. Owner Ashley Busacca announced her departure as she prepares for the arrival of her second child, reflecting on the shop's profound impact on her life and thanking the community for their support. Despite rumors connecting the closure to the Broadway Urbaine affordable housing development, Busacca clarified that her decision is unrelated to the redevelopment plans, which remain stalled. The Broadway Urbaine project aims to introduce 95 new apartments and retail space, replacing the current building. Revival opened its doors in 2015 and quickly became a beloved local spot, transitioning from an upper floor to a street-level location.
Additionally, the Capitol Hill retail landscape is changing, with other businesses like The Cramp also closing. The vibrant diversity of shops in the area continues to thrive, encouraging residents to explore lesser-known retailers. As Revival prepares for its going-out-of-business sale, the neighborhood reflects on the loss of another cherished establishment.
