3 girls missing from Wenatchee after visitation with father found dead

Seattle, WALocal News

Three girls, aged 5, 8, and 9, were reported missing after a visitation with their father, Travis Decker, in Chelan County, Washington. Their mother contacted police on Friday after they failed to return home. Authorities issued an Endangered Missing Person Alert, as strict criteria for an Amber Alert were not met. On Monday, the search led to the discovery of the girls' bodies, and Decker is now a suspect facing charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. The East Cascade SWAT Team is involved in the ongoing search for Decker, who has military training and is believed to be armed.

Police warn the public against approaching him. Decker was last seen driving a white, 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck, and anyone with information is urged to call 911. This tragic case highlights ongoing concerns regarding child safety in custody situations.
