Kaas Tailored in Mukilteo will host two high school interns this summer through the Edmonds School District's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, which connects students with local businesses for paid internships. This initiative aims to provide students with hands-on experience while helping local businesses build a skilled workforce. HR Manager Tucker Kaas emphasized the company's commitment to training future workers, stating, "It's not just about us finding employees... there's work to be done in the community. " The CTE program boasts a 97% graduation rate in four years, exceeding district and state averages.

Local students like Viktoriia Mikhailova have previously benefited from internships, gaining valuable business connections and community engagement opportunities. Mark Madison, Director of CTE, noted that the program allows students to explore their interests in various fields. As businesses like Kaas Tailored invest in youth development, they not only secure a skilled workforce but also contribute to community growth. This partnership exemplifies the importance of fostering local talent to ensure long-term success.
