Man shot in face and head during interrupted car prowl in south Seattle

A man is in serious condition following a shooting that occurred during an attempted car prowl in south Seattle early Wednesday morning. The victim interrupted a suspect breaking into his car around 1 a. m. near 1st Ave S and South Walker Street in the SODO area. The confrontation escalated, resulting in the victim sustaining gunshot wounds to his face and head.

After receiving treatment from Seattle Fire Department medics, he was rushed to Harborview Medical Center. Police confirmed that both the suspect and an accomplice fled the scene before officers arrived. Investigators believe the suspects are likely men in their 20s to 30s.
