Everett driver OK after crash sends guardrail through car

A driver narrowly avoided serious injury when a guardrail pierced their car on southbound Interstate 5 near Everett on Monday morning. Firefighters responded to the scene shortly before 7:30 a. m. and encountered a vehicle severely damaged, with the guardrail extending from the engine compartment through to the back window. Although the driver sustained injuries, they were not considered life-threatening, and medical assistance was provided promptly.
