Bonchon opened its first Seattle location on Broadway, attracting attention from local food enthusiasts. The restaurant, located in the new Zig Apartments, began serving customers over the weekend after much anticipation since its January 2018 announcement. With limited hours during the soft opening, Bonchon operates from 11 AM to 2:30 PM and 5 PM to 8 PM daily, excluding Sundays. Established in South Korea in 2002, Bonchon has expanded to 88 U. S.

locations, renowned for its double-fried chicken and unique sauces. The franchise emphasizes its connection to its origins in Busan, South Korea, while adapting to local tastes. Bonchon's opening enhances the Korean fried chicken dining options in Seattle, joining other popular spots like Bok a Bok. The restaurant's arrival is part of a growing trend of international dining experiences in the Capitol Hill area. As Bonchon settles into the community, it seeks to establish itself as a favorite among Seattle residents.
