Man hit and killed by truck in Seattles South Park neighborhood

A pickup truck struck and killed a 60-year-old man in Seattle's South Park neighborhood around 11 p. m. on Thursday. The victim was crossing 14th Ave S at South Henderson Street when the collision occurred. Despite the efforts of Seattle Fire Department medics, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The 23-year-old driver of the truck stayed at the location and displayed no signs of impairment, according to police. The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad is conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
