Notorious animal abuser on the run after cutting off ankle monitor

David Williford, a man with a record of animal abuse and child sex crimes, escaped home arrest after removing his ankle monitor on May 5 in West Seattle. He was sentenced to home confinement for incest just six days before his escape, ordered to live with his mother. Authorities were alerted within 40 minutes of his flight but were unable to apprehend him. The Washington Department of Corrections has referred the case to a specialized unit dedicated to capturing fugitives and high-risk offenders. Crime Stoppers has joined the search, urging the public to report any information about Williford's whereabouts, emphasizing the importance of acting quickly.

A reward of up to $1,000 is available for tips leading to his arrest. Williford’s criminal history includes six counts of animal abuse in 2015, where he was accused of torturing animals for entertainment, along with charges of child rape and molestation. His continued freedom poses a significant risk to the community, underscoring the urgency of his capture.
