New video shows pursuit of armed suspect who shot at deputies in Tenino

Seattle, WALocal News

Thurston County deputies are actively searching for 27-year-old Damien Madison, who is wanted for multiple felony offenses, including drive-by shooting and first-degree assault. During a recent pursuit that began in Tenino, Madison allegedly fired an AR-15 at law enforcement officers, narrowly missing a deputy. Madison has a significant criminal record, with 10 felony convictions and a pattern of evading police in recent months. The pursuit escalated when Madison threw items from the vehicle to impede the chase, including a chainsaw and a firearm. After the SUV stopped, he fled into nearby woods, while his fiancé, who was driving, has been arrested for eluding and rendering assistance.

A coordinated search involving the Washington State Patrol and a SWAT team was launched but failed to locate Madison. Authorities warn that he is considered armed and dangerous, having made threats to avoid capture. The ongoing manhunt underscores the urgent need for public safety measures in the region.
