The incident occurred around 1:48 a. m. when a vehicle attempted to evade Washington State Patrol troopers, leading to a collision with two other cars. After losing a front tire, the driver exited the vehicle and leaped over the barrier in an attempt to escape, but tragically did not survive the fall.

Authorities confirmed that the vehicle was not reported stolen, but it lacked license plates. Another occupant of the car has been taken into custody as the investigation continues.
