Firefighters tackle massive storage unit blaze in south Everett over 60 units respond
On Monday evening, a major fire broke out at a storage facility in south Everett, leading to a swift response from South County Fire. Crews arrived within five minutes to find heavy flames, prompting an immediate upgrade that brought over 60 firefighters to the scene. The fire destroyed about 13 open storage bays and caused heat damage to numerous other units, showcasing the blaze's intensity. Despite the chaos, firefighters successfully protected a shop containing flammable chemicals, averting a potentially hazardous situation. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, allowing first responders to focus entirely on containing the fire.
