" Organized by local labor leaders, the march began at the Tivoli Fountain and concluded at Sylvester Park. Activist James Elsner expressed support for union workers, emphasizing their role in providing good jobs and quality work. Heather Alnes, an educator, highlighted the collective power of collaboration in advocating for employment rights. Milo, vice president of Local 443, called for inclusive policies addressing immigration reform and healthcare access for all.

Participants from various industries expressed concerns over recent layoffs and funding cuts in education. Their handmade signs and chants demonstrated unity across labor and immigrant communities. The event remained peaceful, with police present to manage road closures.
