Laurel, now open for coffee, beauty, and light on E Olive Way

Seattle, WALocal News

Laurel has officially opened for coffee service on E Olive Way in Seattle after a year of meticulous planning and renovations. The cafe, owned by Kate Opatz, draws inspiration from her mother and features a welcoming design adorned with feminine motifs and vibrant colors. Initially, Laurel will serve coffee and pastries sourced from The French Guys bakery, providing convenient access for Capitol Hill residents. Plans for nighttime service are underway, with a menu of craft cocktails designed by bar manager Nico Ciel from La Dive. The cafe's debut aligns with a broader trend of new establishments opening in the area, like the Piedmont Café and Yeobo Cafe and Bar.

Seattle's bustling environment often complicates new business launches, but Laurel's opening marks a positive addition to the community. This venture not only honors personal connections but also aims to foster local engagement. As Laurel establishes itself, it seeks to become a cherished neighborhood spot for both daytime and evening patrons.
