Capitol Hill Block Party producers cancel their other big Seattle music festival for 2025

Seattle, WALocal News

Daydream State, the production company behind Capitol Hill Block Party, announced the cancellation of the 2025 Day In Day Out festival to regroup and refocus after four successful years. The company thanked the community for their support and stated plans to reimagine the festival for the future. This cancellation follows a major pullback on the Capitol Hill Block Party, which will drop a day from its schedule this summer. Organizers will also restrict attendance to those aged 21 and over, due to heightened security challenges and logistical constraints. Last year’s Block Party was highlighted by packed crowds, particularly during Chappell Roan's performance.

The 2025 Capitol Hill Block Party is set for July 19-20, featuring a lineup that includes Thundercat and Porter Robinson. Daydream State operates several beloved Seattle venues and events, emphasizing the connection between hospitality and the local music scene. The changes reflect ongoing adjustments in Seattle's festival landscape as traditional events evolve post-pandemic.
