Seattle police arrested a suspect in a violent mugging on Seattle University’s campus, where a female victim suffered minor injuries after being tackled and robbed of her purse. Officers tracked down the assailant near 12th and Jackson shortly after the incident. In a separate case, a trespasser was subdued at Meany Middle School after resisting arrest and biting two officers, who then used a taser to safely take him into custody. Both the officers and the suspect were treated for minor injuries at the scene. Additionally, police responded to a stabbing at the DESC’s Evans House supportive housing facility, where a victim was injured by a suspect who fled but was apprehended soon after.

The stabbing suspect claimed to have attacked the victim due to teasing about her transgender identity. These incidents underscore ongoing safety concerns in the Seattle area, particularly around educational institutions and supportive housing facilities. Authorities continue to investigate these events as community members express growing concern for safety.
