With the Knights of Columbus at Gridlines core, Harvard Aves newest residential development is 112 years old

Seattle, WALocal News

The Gridline Apartments, a significant new residential project in Capitol Hill, has achieved near-full occupancy less than a year after opening. Developed by SRM Development, this two-building complex features 178 units, split between the West Building and the larger North Building, with a mix of affordable and market-rate housing. Notably, the project preserves the historic Knights of Columbus building, which has been renovated for commercial use, maintaining the area's architectural heritage. The West Building opened in November 2023, reaching 95% occupancy in just nine months, while the North Building, which opened in March 2024, stabilized occupancy by late January 2025. SRM's Mike Erickson expressed satisfaction with the quick absorption rates, attributing it to the location and quality of the amenities.

With 20% of units designated as affordable housing, the development caters to a wide range of income levels, including young professionals and families. Residents enjoy modern finishes and amenities, including a popular rooftop deck. The Gridline Apartments are strategically located near grocery stores, restaurants, and schools, enhancing their desirability.
