Kemi Dessert Bar is now softly open on Capitol Hill

Seattle, WALocal News

Kemi Dessert Bar is now welcoming patrons on Capitol Hill, operating on weekends with a selection of unique desserts. Owner Kelly Miao, who honed her skills in New York City's bakery scene, brings a fusion of global flavors to her creations. Initially reluctant to label her bakery as Asian-inspired, Miao has embraced this identity, featuring ingredients such as black sesame, matcha, jasmine, and hojicha in her offerings. Customers can enjoy her dense basque cheesecake, which serves as a versatile base for these diverse flavors. Kemi Dessert Bar operates from 11 AM to 5 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, adding to the area's culinary charm.

It joins a growing community of dessert shops, including R&M Dessert Bar and Shikorina Pastries, that enrich Capitol Hill's food scene. The area is poised for further sweet expansions, with plans for Insomnia Cookies to open soon. For dessert enthusiasts, Kemi Dessert Bar is a must-visit destination for delightful treats.
