Seattle, WALocal News

Charles Hickman, a 23-year-old Bellevue resident, has been charged with first-degree murder in the December 31 shooting death of Jonny Adamow at a Seattle intersection. The King County Prosecuting Attorney's office reported that Hickman targeted a group of individuals during the incident, resulting in Adamow's death from a gunshot wound to the chest. His apprehension by U. S. Marshals was facilitated by video evidence that detailed his movements before the shooting.

Surveillance images captured him circling the area in an Infinity vehicle and later interacting with potential targets at a gas station. Tragically, Adamow, a beloved member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, was remembered for their vibrant spirit and artistic contributions. The community has rallied in support of Adamow's memory, emphasizing their significance within the local landscape. After his arrest, Hickman sent a letter of apology to Adamow's family, expressing regret for his actions. The case underscores ongoing concerns about gun violence and its impact on community safety.
