Capitol Hill wine shop La Cha-Bliss A touch of fabulous in every pour but nothing French thanks to Liberation Day tariffs

Seattle, WALocal News

Ladie Chablis, a beloved drag performer in Seattle, is launching La Cha-Bliss, a wine shop in Capitol Hill, with plans to open in early April. This venture is backed significantly by the LGBTQIA+ community, which has contributed to a fundraiser that has already surpassed half of its goal. Initially, Russell intended to offer a mix of domestic and imported wines; however, due to tariffs imposed during the current economic climate, he has decided to focus solely on domestic selections from Washington, California, and Oregon. Notably, Russell aims for 50% of his inventory to consist of wines from Queer-owned producers or allies who actively support the LGBTQIA+ community. The shop will boast a boutique atmosphere, complete with a patio for tastings and potential community gatherings.

Russell's commitment to giving back to the community serves as a core principle of his business philosophy. He believes strongly in the power of community support, stating, "My business is not just my business, it’s our business. " La Cha-Bliss represents not only a new retail space but also a celebration of inclusivity and local culture in Seattle.
