Link Light Rail Service Temporarily Suspended Between Capitol Hill and SODO on February 23

Seattle, WALocal News

On February 23, 2025, Link light rail service will be temporarily suspended between Capitol Hill and SODO stations for critical system maintenance, which includes tasks such as storm sewer cleaning and switch replacement. To mitigate disruptions, Sound Transit will offer Link Shuttle buses to transport passengers, running approximately every 10-15 minutes and servicing all stations along the route. Passengers traveling southbound from Capitol Hill will need to disembark and take the shuttle, reconnecting at SODO for further travel. Similarly, northbound passengers will exit at SODO and connect back at Capitol Hill. In light of this service disruption, riders are advised to allow extra time for transfers and consider alternative transit options.

Sound Transit emphasizes its commitment to supporting seniors, disabled individuals, and Title VI protected populations during this maintenance period. Additionally, a language line is available for translation assistance at 800-823-9230. To stay informed, passengers can sign up for automatic email alerts regarding service changes and updates.
