Seattle, WALocal News

The Shop Agora, a cherished Mediterranean food and wine shop located on 15th Ave E in Seattle, has transitioned ownership from its original founders to long-time manager Katlynn Roumeliotis. Having been with the shop since its opening in 2011, Roumeliotis is well-acquainted with the community and aims to maintain the store's welcoming atmosphere while introducing exciting events and tastings. The original owners, Nikos Spiliopoulo and Alexis Saloutos, expressed their confidence in Roumeliotis, stating she is the ideal candidate to carry on their legacy. The Shop Agora is renowned for its European-inspired environment, offering an array of specialty foods, wines, and a wine bar for patrons to enjoy meals and tastings. Roumeliotis emphasizes the importance of community and plans to expand on existing programs to foster customer relationships.

With summer on the horizon, she looks forward to enhancing the outdoor patio experience, a popular feature among customers. Both Roumeliotis and Spiliopoulo assure the community that the essence of The Shop Agora will remain intact, with familiar offerings and a continued commitment to quality service. This ownership transition is seen as a positive evolution for the beloved neighborhood spot, ensuring it remains a go-to destination for locals.
