Laurel, now open for coffee, beauty, and light on E Olive Way
Laurel has officially opened for business along E Olive Way in Capitol Hill, Seattle, offering an inviting space for daytime coffee enthusiasts. The café operates from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m.
daily, following a year of meticulous planning and design led by Kate Opatz. The interior is adorned with feminine motifs, plants, and colorful tiles, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Laurel is conveniently located next to the well-loved dive bar Montana, and it plans to introduce an evening service featuring seasonal craft cocktails curated by bar manager Nico Ciel. For its initial offerings, patrons can enjoy coffee and pastries sourced from The French Guys, reducing the need for locals to trek to their bakery. This new establishment joins a wave of recent openings in the area, enhancing Capitol Hill's culinary landscape.
The café's personal touch, inspired by Opatz's mother, adds depth to its community connection. With a focus on quality and a cozy environment, Laurel is set to become a cherished spot for both locals and visitors.
