Man, woman injured after shooting at Lakewood BI Marketplace

Around 5:20 PM, police responded to reports of gunfire at the marketplace located at 8012 S Tacoma Way. A man and woman were discovered with gunshot wounds to their legs and transported to local hospitals, where their injuries were confirmed to be non-life-threatening. The incident originated from a disagreement between two groups, which escalated when one individual pulled out a gun and began firing. Notably, the female victim was an unintended target, highlighting the chaotic nature of the altercation.

The shooter managed to evade capture and is believed to have left the area in a vehicle.
