Upcoming Winter 2025 disruptions on the 1 Line
Starting in January 2025, the 1 Line will undergo significant service disruptions to facilitate system expansion, impacting service levels on multiple occasions throughout January and February. On weekday evenings, trains will operate at 12-minute intervals, with reduced service beginning at set departure times from Angle Lake and Lynnwood City Center. Specific dates like January 10-12 and January 17-19 will see shuttle buses replacing the 1 Line service, necessitating adjustments for commuters. Additionally, from January 25-26 and February 8-9, trains will run every 12 minutes all day to accommodate work on the new infill station at 130th Street. During these disruptions, only one platform will be in use at Shoreline South Station, requiring passengers to board from different locations each month.
Special considerations are advised for January 18, when bus shuttles will face delays due to the Seattle Women's March. Passengers are urged to find alternate routes or to use other transportation when possible. With these changes, the transit authority aims to minimize inconvenience while enhancing the overall transit system.
