2024 Teacher of the Week Official Rules

The 2024 Teacher of the Week Contest is an initiative designed to recognize and celebrate exceptional teachers in Washington State through community nominations. Sponsored by KIRO AM and WSECU, the contest highlights the significant impact educators have on their schools and communities. Nominations can be submitted online or via mail, requiring a short essay explaining why the nominated teacher is deserving of recognition. The contest will run from February 24 to May 31, 2024, providing ample time for community participation. A total of twenty-four winners will be awarded $1,000 in prizes, with $500 going to the teacher and an additional $500 for their school.

Eligibility is limited to U. S. residents aged 18 and older residing in the Seattle area, ensuring a relevant participant pool. This initiative aims to foster community engagement and appreciation for educators, emphasizing their crucial role in shaping future generations and strengthening the connection between schools and their communities.
