In a troubling incident, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) is searching for four suspects involved in the carjacking and assault of a woman in the University District. The victim, a 35-year-old woman, was approached early Friday morning and threatened with firearms by the suspects, who stole her Subaru Forester. After the carjacking, police tracked the stolen vehicle, leading to a chase that ended in Burien when the suspects crashed the car. Law enforcement officials, including the King County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a thorough search but were unable to apprehend the suspects. Thankfully, the victim was not injured, although she was visibly upset after the horrifying ordeal.

During the investigation, a handgun was found inside the vehicle, prompting further inquiries into its ownership and whether it had been reported stolen. SPD urges anyone with potential information to contact their Violent Crimes Tip Line. This incident serves as a stark reminder of ongoing safety concerns in urban areas.
