Seahawks Sign Punter Ty Zentner to Practice Squad Ahead of Sunday’s NFC West Clash

Seattle, WASports

The Seattle Seahawks have signed punter Ty Zentner to their practice squad as a precautionary measure ahead of their important NFC West matchup, providing insurance in case Michael Dickson cannot play due to recent back spasms that sidelined him during the fourth quarter of a win against the New York Jets. Zentner, who went undrafted from Kansas State, has played in 10 NFL games with the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and most recently, the Los Angeles Rams, where he faced the Seahawks earlier this season. Dickson has been a standout performer this year, averaging 48. 7 yards per punt and playing a key role in the team's success. The Seahawks' decision to add Zentner underscores their commitment to maintaining a strong special teams unit.

Coach Mike Macdonald remains hopeful about Dickson's recovery but recognizes the importance of having contingency plans in place.
