Seattle Seahawks rule out Walker, elevate 2 from practice squad

Seattle, WASports

The Seattle Seahawks have officially ruled out starting running back Kenneth Walker III for their December 7, 2024, game against the Arizona Cardinals due to ongoing ankle and calf injuries. Walker's inability to practice on Thursday and Friday led to this decision. To address his absence, the Seahawks elevated running back George Holani and punter Ty Zentner from the practice squad. Holani, an undrafted rookie from Boise State, has demonstrated potential in his limited opportunities this season. Zentner provides backup for punter Michael Dickson, who is also dealing with injury concerns.

Head coach Mike Macdonald remains hopeful about Dickson's recovery but recognizes the importance of having a contingency plan. As the Seahawks prepare for this critical NFC West matchup, they aim to navigate the challenges of injuries while remaining competitive in the playoff race.
