Capitol Hill, get to know your artful new neighbor at grand opening of STG at Kerry Hall
Seattle Theater Group (STG) will celebrate the grand opening of Kerry Hall on November 15, 2025, following its $6 million acquisition of the historic venue. The free event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, workshops, and performances, showcasing the revitalized space to the community. Marisol Sanchez Best, STG’s Director of Education & Community Engagement, highlighted the organization's mission to make the building accessible for creative use. Since purchasing the 104-year-old property, STG has renovated it and introduced an affordable room rental system for local artists and groups. The venue will host a variety of programs, including Dance for Parkinson’s Disease, yoga classes in Spanish, and initiatives for neurodivergent individuals.
STG aims to encourage community involvement and artistic expression through its diverse programming. The intimate 197-seat auditorium will also feature upcoming performances, including a free summer series for local schools. STG's efforts to engage the community reflect a commitment to preserving the historic building while fostering a vibrant artistic environment.
