Capitol Hills QueerBar is turning into the Christmas Dive Bar for the holidays

Seattle, WALocal News

Queer/Bar in Capitol Hill will turn into the Christmas Dive Bar, offering a festive atmosphere with holiday cocktails and decorations. This initiative seeks to address challenges faced by queer bars and nightclubs, with management hopeful that the pop-up will help sustain programming throughout the year. The Christmas Dive Bar will host a drag brunch series, "How the Queens Stole Christmas," on weekends during the holiday season. The venue plans to debut soon, with no specific opening date announced. Previously, the Christmas Dive Bar concept launched in a nearby nightclub space in 2023, which was well-received in the community.

Queer/Bar, entering its ninth year, has recently downsized as a new owner took over nearby The Cuff. The management encourages patrons to support their local queer venue during this festive period. The Christmas Dive Bar will be located at 1518 11th Ave, with updates available at christmasdivebar. com.
