Pride Place is filling with an affordable, LGBTQIA-friendly community Broadway Indian favorite Spice Bliss set to move across street to join the mix

Seattle, WALocal News

Spice Bliss, a beloved Indian restaurant, is set to move to a larger space in the Pride Place development on Broadway, enhancing its role in the local community. The restaurant, launched by chefs Jagminder and Navjit Singh during the pandemic, has gained popularity for its Indian cuisine and diverse menu. The new location will neighbor GenPride's offices and more than 100 apartments, contributing to the vibrancy of the LGBTQIA+-focused senior living community. Pride Place, which opened in 2023, revitalized a previously vacant area that housed the historic Eldridge Tire Company, preserving its architectural elements. The move comes as Spice Bliss seeks to provide a more spacious dining experience while continuing to serve its loyal customers across the street.

The development highlights a commitment to affordable housing and community-focused business spaces. As the build-out progresses, Spice Bliss's expansion is expected to invigorate local commerce. The restaurant currently operates at 1520 Broadway and will transition to 1519 Broadway in the near future.
