Man stabbed in reported North Capitol Hill attempted carjacking UPDATE

A 44-year-old man was stabbed in the leg during an attempted carjacking near Broadway and Newton Street in North Capitol Hill on Tuesday night. The incident unfolded around 8:40 PM when two suspects approached the man's parked vehicle. One suspect opened the door and stabbed the victim while attempting to steal the car. The victim managed to retain control of his vehicle, prompting the suspects to flee the scene on foot. Seattle Fire treated the man for non-life-threatening injuries before he was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Police suspect the same suspects may have been involved in another attempted car theft earlier that evening. Authorities are actively searching the area for the suspects, who were described as males wearing black masks. The investigation remains ongoing, highlighting concerns about rising car theft incidents in the area.
