Lifelong’s Dining Out For Life is set for September 25, uniting over three dozen Seattle restaurants in donating part of their sales to support the HIV community. This initiative funds critical services like medicine, housing, and nutritious food. New CEO James Shackelford highlighted the event's role in Lifelong’s broader fundraising strategy during a recent interview. He plans to enjoy meals at several partner restaurants, starting with Rachel’s Bagels & Burritos. The event showcases a mix of established favorites and new participants, ensuring a diverse culinary experience.

Shackelford emphasized Lifelong’s commitment to serving marginalized communities, which has been part of their mission for over 40 years. The organization began as a grassroots response to the HIV epidemic and continues to adapt to meet evolving community needs. Nearly 15,000 people in Washington live with HIV, underscoring the importance of access to healthcare and support.
