Mintish, a Levantine-inspired Coffee House with Seattle vibes, coming to Capitol Hill

Seattle, WALocal News

Mintish, a new Levantine-inspired coffee house, is scheduled to open at 515 Harvard Ave E in late August, succeeding the long-standing Bauhaus café. The announcement came from reader Tammy Jo in the CHS Facebook Group, praising the café's inviting renovations and friendly atmosphere. Bauhaus, which had been a beloved fixture since 1993, was known for its strong coffee and library-like setting but struggled to maintain its presence amid a wave of redevelopment in the area. The café's closure was part of a broader trend of nostalgia-driven real estate deals that transformed the Pike/Pine corridor. Mintish aims to revive the local café culture by offering unique coffee and food options that reflect Levantine heritage.

The space, located in the Rubix Apartments building, is undergoing final preparations for its opening. Community members can stay informed about Mintish's progress through their Instagram account @mintish_coffee. This new venture signifies a continued evolution of Capitol Hill's vibrant food and beverage scene.
