Capitol Hill craft cocktail long-timer Tavern Law has new owners

Seattle, WALocal News

Tavern Law, a fixture in Capitol Hill’s craft cocktail scene, has officially transitioned to new ownership with Ken Jones and Saulo Cruz at the helm. The new owners express a commitment to maintaining the bar's vibrant community spirit while fostering new traditions. Originally opened in 2009 by Brian McCracken and Dana Tough, Tavern Law has seen its ownership change for the third time, reflecting the challenges and opportunities within the local food and drink industry. The neighborhood is undergoing significant changes, including the recent shuttering of Mighty-O Donuts and the introduction of Mint & Martini in the former Barrio space. Cruz, a partner in the ownership of Capitale Pizzeria, enhances the local dining landscape with this new venture.

As Tavern Law continues to evolve, it remains a crucial gathering place for locals and cocktail enthusiasts alike. The bar's legacy is characterized by its dedication to craft cocktails and community connection. With this new chapter, Tavern Law aims to strengthen its role in Capitol Hill's culinary identity.
