Family marches in Kirkland to mark the birthday for missing autistic man

Seattle, WALocal News

The family of Jonathan Hoang, missing for five months, is holding a march in Kirkland to raise awareness for his case as his 22nd birthday approaches. Jonathan was last seen at his Arlington home on March 30 and is believed to be alive but possibly kidnapped, according to his family. His father, Thao Hoang, stated, "We know he’s asking to come home," highlighting their helplessness in the situation. The family is particularly worried due to Jonathan's autism, which affects his ability to navigate the world independently. A possible sighting of a man resembling him in June has only heightened their concerns.

Participants in the march, including friends and family, stress the importance of keeping Jonathan's story visible to the public. A $100,000 reward remains available for information leading to his whereabouts. Authorities continue to urge anyone with information to contact them.
