Kidnapping, robbery was attempt to find 'snitch' in Seattle street racing group Police

Seattle, WALocal News

Investigators linked a Bellevue kidnapping and robbery to the "seattlebeamerboys" Instagram account, known for promoting illegal street racing. Seventeen-year-old Anton Victorovich Urnyshev allegedly lured a teen to Kelsey Creek Park, where he kidnapped him at gunpoint and demanded his debit card PIN. The victim complied under threats of violence, leading to thousands of dollars withdrawn from ATMs. Urnyshev was arrested on August 20, facing adult charges due to Washington's laws on serious violent offenses. Previously, he was involved in a hate crime case where he vandalized a school with racist markings.

Authorities gathered evidence, including chat logs from the Instagram account discussing plans to identify a "snitch. " Prosecutors are seeking a $300,000 bail for Urnyshev, who has a history of escalating criminal behavior. The case underscores the risks associated with street racing culture in the region.
