With two Capitol Hill stylists ready to make their own space, Mac and Milos Barbershop opening on 15th Ave E

Seattle, WALocal News

Capitol Hill stylists Alyssa McCowan and Myles McGehee are set to open Mac and Milo’s Barbershop on September 1 at 423 15th Ave E. After years of working together in various salons, they aim to create a unique, community-oriented space. The barbershop will offer industry pricing for service workers and plans to host events such as pop-up thrift markets and slam poetry nights. Previously operating as Milo’s Barber Services and Mac’s Barber Co. , the duo sought a more stable business model that combines their client bases.

They found a space that was vacated by Casita International Gift Shop earlier this year. Their designs will merge distinct aesthetics, featuring bright colors and a welcoming atmosphere. The new venture positions them to better serve local residents while contributing to the neighborhood's vibrant culture. As Capitol Hill evolves, Mac and Milo’s Barbershop will join other popular establishments in the area, attracting new clients.
