Harrys Fine Foods hosts Burgers and Beer for Corey benefit for slain employee

Seattle, WALocal News

Harry’s Fine Foods will hold a community BBQ, “Burgers and Beer,” on June 9 from 5 to 8 PM to benefit the family of Corey Bellett, a sous chef who was tragically murdered last month. The event aims to honor Bellett’s memory and support his wife, with all proceeds directed toward the family’s needs. Bellett, 37, was fatally stabbed in an altercation at Capitol Hill Station while returning home after a Saturday brunch shift. Shawn Moore has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and intimidating a witness in connection with the incident. The restaurant invites the community to come together for an evening filled with food, drinks, and support.

An online fundraiser has also been established to assist Bellett’s family during this challenging time. Bellett’s death has deeply affected the local community, highlighting the impact of violence. The BBQ serves as a reminder of the importance of community solidarity in times of tragedy.
