Deputies find homemade explosive during search of suspect in Thurston County

Deputies in Rochester, Wash. , responded to a report of a suspicious person sleeping near a propane fill station on Wednesday. Upon arrival, the individual became aggressive, prompting deputies to deploy a stun gun to subdue him. A records check confirmed that the suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant. During a search prior to booking, deputies discovered a homemade explosive device on the suspect.

The Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad was then called in to neutralize the explosive safely. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about public safety and the potential dangers of homemade explosives. The suspect now faces serious charges for unlawful possession of explosives.
