After damaging fire, Post Options has temporary new home in Capitol Hills Christmas Dive Bar

Seattle, WALocal News

Post Options has found a temporary home at 1512 11th Ave following a fire that caused over $175,000 in damages on July 30. Owners Veti Comesongsri and Nongnuch Paungpornsri expressed their appreciation for community support, which has raised nearly $25,000 through fundraisers. The new location, which previously served as a holiday pop-up bar, allows them to continue providing mail services to existing customers while they navigate the reopening process. Meanwhile, Unicorn bar is also preparing to reopen after completing repairs for water and smoke damage from the fire. The support from surrounding businesses, including The Woods on 11th Ave, has been crucial in this recovery effort.

Comesongsri is currently sorting out lease options for a permanent location, emphasizing the importance of community backing during this time. As the insurance process unfolds, the future of Post Options remains uncertain, with the block expected to be quiet for several months. The resilience of local businesses and their commitment to serving the community is evident during this challenging period.
