U.S. Navy ships offer public tours during Seattle's Seafair Fleet Week, REAL ID required

The USS Jack H. Lucas and USS Somerset will host tours at Seattle’s Pier 46 as part of Seafair Fleet Week, running from July 31 to August 3. The tours, available from 10 a. m. to 4 p.

m. , allow the public to explore U. S. Navy vessels and engage with Sailors. To participate, visitors must present a REAL ID-compliant photo ID at security checkpoints, with no exceptions for temporary IDs.

Prohibited items include weapons, large bags, and drones, while strollers are permitted on the pier but not on the ships. Photography is allowed, but videography and drone use are prohibited to ensure safety and security. The event emphasizes the importance of maritime defense and the Navy's role in national security.
