With graffiti clean, Harrell to unveil major community service initiative UPDATE One Seattle Day of Service
Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell introduced the “One Seattle Day of Service,” a citywide volunteer initiative scheduled for May 21, aimed at tackling graffiti and beautifying public spaces. This event will offer over 2,200 volunteer opportunities across more than 80 activities, including cleaning, gardening, and supporting neighbors in need. Harrell emphasized the initiative as a way for residents to actively engage in improving their city, stating, “I love Seattle – and I know so many neighbors share that same passion. ” The announcement occurred in the Chinatown-International District, where Harrell has been focused on addressing public safety issues, particularly related to graffiti and street crime.
