In Capitol Hill food and drinks season of change, Aamrai Indian Kitchen Bar now open on Bellevue Ave

Seattle, WALocal News

Aamrai Indian Kitchen & Bar has opened on Bellevue Ave, providing a fresh addition to Capitol Hill's food and drink offerings amid recent business closures. The restaurant features a warm ambiance and an authentic Indian menu, designed to create memorable dining experiences. Its opening follows the December 2024 closure of The Jilted Siren, which raised alarms about a potential wave of shutdowns among local businesses due to the city's impending expiration of the tip credit. Despite initial fears, the anticipated closure wave did not materialize, prompting new investments in the area. Aamrai joins other recent establishments like Tiny Laurel, a coffee and cocktail bar, and Double O’ Burgers, which showcases innovative dining concepts.

The restaurant's owner, Rupesh Naik, aims to establish a strong presence in the Capitol Hill food scene. Aamrai's opening reflects a broader trend of renewal and investment in the local economy. Located at 1802 Bellevue Ave, Aamrai invites patrons to enjoy dishes like butter chicken and paneer tikka masala.
