The pursuit continued onto State Route 507, where the driver lost control and collided with another car and a police vehicle. The impact ejected the driver from the car, leading to fatal injuries. Two occupants from the other vehicle were transported to local hospitals for treatment, while the Yelm police officer involved is expected to make a full recovery.
