Police search for suspect after shooting in fight at packed Capitol Hill bar sends one to hospital UPDATE

A shooting at Cha Cha Lounge in Capitol Hill left a 29-year-old man in serious condition after being shot in the abdomen early Thursday morning. Seattle Police are pursuing the suspect, who fled the scene in a vehicle after retrieving a firearm from a nearby car. The incident began as a fight involving four men, with witnesses indicating that one individual fell before drawing a weapon and firing at another. Police found evidence at the scene, including shell casings and a shoe belonging to one of the combatants, as they treated the victim for his injuries. The large crowd, estimated at around 300, was cleared by police as they worked to gather evidence.

Cha Cha Lounge's owner stated that the gunfire did not occur inside the bar, while management is still assessing the situation. Authorities are reviewing security footage to identify the shooter, who remains at large. No further injuries or arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
