Edelweiss Air has launched direct flights from Seattle to Zurich, significantly expanding travel options for local residents. Operating twice weekly, this new route positions Zurich as the airline's fourth destination in the United States. With this addition, Seattle Tacoma International Airport now offers 36 international destinations. CEO Bernd Bauer stated that the inaugural flight represents a significant step in connecting Switzerland with diverse global locations. The new service follows the recent addition of direct flights to Tokyo and Copenhagen, reflecting a growing trend of expanding international routes from SEA.

Passengers can enjoy flights on Airbus A340-300 aircraft, with departures scheduled for Mondays and Saturdays. The 4:25 p. m. departure arrives in Zurich the following day at 11:45 a. m.

This development enhances Seattle's connectivity to Europe, particularly for travelers heading to Switzerland this summer.
