Two arrested for assaulting couple after collision near Sea-Tac Airport

On July 30, two women were arrested and charged with assaulting an elderly couple following a road rage incident near SeaTac Airport. The suspects, 29-year-old Shalynn Dual and 33-year-old Weldon Carey, recklessly cut off the couple in their 70s, resulting in a collision. As the victims attempted to exchange insurance information, the suspects launched a violent attack, with Carey assaulting the wife through her open window. During the struggle, the husband's firearm fell out, which the suspects seized before hitting the husband with their vehicle and fleeing the scene. Both women are convicted felons facing multiple pending criminal cases.

Carey has been charged with third-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm, while Dual faces similar charges. They are currently held in King County Jail, with bail set at $250,000 for Dual and $200,000 for Carey, and are due in court on Monday, emphasizing the serious implications for public safety.
