Giants Pitcher Sean Hjelle Accused of Abuse and Infidelity by His Wife in Viral TikTok Video

San Francisco, CASports

MLB is investigating serious allegations of abuse and infidelity against Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle, made public by his estranged wife, Caroline, in a viral TikTok post. The video, which received over 3 million views, claims Hjelle abandoned his family on Mother's Day after Caroline confronted him about alleged affairs and abuse. The San Francisco Giants responded by acknowledging the allegations and confirming their communication with MLB, which is responsible for handling such matters. Manager Bob Melvin stated that Hjelle informed him of the situation and would be available to pitch, although he ultimately did not participate in the game against the Boston Red Sox. Hjelle has not denied the allegations but confirmed he and Caroline are in the process of finalizing a divorce.

Caroline’s social media history includes posts referencing single parenting and emotional distress, dating back to late 2024. One of her posts from April alluded to “lies” and included the hashtag #divorce, suggesting long-standing issues. This situation raises questions about the implications for Hjelle's career as the investigation unfolds.
